CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:10 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Zimmerman to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Kerry Manuel, 15668 Juniper Ridge Drive NW, Ramsey, inquired as to what was happening with <br />the Density Transition ordinance. He also stated that the Comprehensive Plan that was approved <br />by the Met Council is going to require a large part of Ramsey to be rezoned and inquired if <br />residents would be notified of the higher density changes prior to the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that that Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on the <br />Comprehensive Plan and the City will follow the proper procedures for notification of the <br />hearing. The density transition ordinance is on the agenda for tonight, but will probably be <br />forwarded to a work session. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he had requested that the Assistant City Administrator <br />place the issue of the Density Transition ordinance on the agenda as a case, but that did not <br />happen; it was placed under Mayor and Council Input which he did not think was appropriate. <br /> <br />City Council/April 10, 2001 <br /> Page 2 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
