COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE
mz > CITY OF RAMSEY
Advisory Panel (Comprehensive Plan Task Force)
Planning Gomiiiission + key Stakeholders + Ramsey 3
The Advisory Panel (AP) will consist of Planning Commission
representatives as well as key stakeholders and members ofthe community.
The AP will be appointed by the City Council. The panel will be expected to
meetthroughoutthe processto review information prepared bythe Technical
Committee and information obtained through the Ramsey 3 process.
This group will be expected to function as an expert group on the
components of the plan and will be expected to have a higher level
of engagement in the process and plan preparation. The AP will
also function as the expert group at key public meetings and open
_ houses. The advantage of such a group is that they will help develop
the plan and, therefore, will be able to help fellow residents in the
acceptance and adoption of the goals and strategies of the plan. The
AP will be an advisory group which will make recommendations to
— the greater Planning Commission and, ultimately, the City Council.
-- The proposed project Schedule identifies six (6) AP meetings.
We also assume that the AP will attend two (2) open space
technology community gatherings through the Ramsey 3 process
and four (4) public meetings/open houses. The first public meeting/
open house will focus on the outcomes of the Ramsey 3 process.
The proposed process is intended to engage the AP as frequently as
possible, while still recognizing that the members of the AP are donating
their time to the process. Our intent is to ensure that the scheduled
meetings work towards acquiring meaningful information and feedback.
z
z
r l 1J
*AL Me 11
-r y
W
O
//74
LANDFORM
