COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> Environmental resources <br /> — The Mississippi River Critical Area Corridor will be reviewed for <br /> _ conformance with the Comprehensive Plan in this study area. Existing <br /> and proposed parking and recreation plans, trails and open spaces <br /> _ will also be studied. The Natural Resources Inventory that is currently <br /> underway, as well as other existing environmental documents, will <br /> be reviewed and incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Economic development <br /> This study area will identify the land development needs and opportunities <br /> --• within the City of Ramsey. This area of study will help identify strategies for <br /> attracting developers and tools for implementation of development plans. <br /> Public facilities <br /> A review of existing public service areas and existing facilities <br /> will be conducted in this study area. This study will focus <br /> on efficiencies of government services at minimal costs. <br /> Intergovernmental coordination <br /> All areas of study will be coordinated with adjacent <br /> communities, counties and applicable State agencies. <br /> 4. 11 <br /> The Landform team will review all existing community documents <br /> relating to the required components of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> _. The following plans, in addition to any existing relevant studies, will <br /> — be analyzed, summarized and incorporated, as they were adopted <br /> by the City Council, into the final Comprehensive Plan document: <br /> • Master Housing Plan <br /> • Comprehensive Sewer Plan <br /> • Comprehensive Water Plan <br /> --• • Park and Trail Plan <br /> • Central Rural Reserve Study <br /> • Natural Resources Inventory <br /> • Capital Improvement Plan <br /> • Open Space / Greenway Plan <br /> _ w <br /> Plan Refinement, Preparation <br /> and Adoption The Landform team will prepare recommendations for a <br /> final Comprehensive Plan document based on the comments w <br /> from the public, Planning Commission and the City Council. <br /> The plan will address all issues outlined in the Metropolitan <br /> Council's "Local Planning Handbook", conform with Minnesota <br /> Statutes 462.355 as amended and be consistent with other State <br /> Statutes.
