Case #6: Adopt Ordinance Renaming 149th Avenue NW between Trunk Highway #47 and Waco Street NW to Sunwood Drive NW City Engineer Jankowski stated that on February 13, 2001, a public hearing was held on the proposed renaming of the segment of 149th Avenue NW between T.H. #47 and Waco Street NW to Sunwood Drive NW. This renaming will result in a consistent street name for the east/west collector roadway on both sides of T.H. #47. An ordinance for this name change was introduced on April 10, 2001. Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt Ordinance #01-14 effecting the above street name change effective on July 1, 2001. A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: Councilmember Zimmerman aye Councilmember Hendriksen aye Councilmember Anderson aye Councilmember Kurak aye Mayor Gamec aye Motion carried. Mayor Gamec recessed the regular City Council meeting at 8:57 p.m. Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 9:07 p.m. Case #7: Resolution Receiving Bids and Awarding Contract for Improvement Project #01-21, Water Tower No. 1 Repainting City Engineer Jankowski stated that following Water Tower No. 2 being placed into service in early July, the City will have an opportunity to repaint Water Tower No. 1. The actual work will take place in fall 2001, when temperature and humidity conditions are favorable for painting. In the fall, the peak summer water demand period has passed which also makes it a suitable period for this work. On March 27, 2001, City Council approved plans and specifications for Improvement Project #01-21 (Water Tower No. 1 Repainting). Pursuant to an advertisement for bid, an opening was performed on Wednesday, May 2, 2001. A summary of the bids are as follows: Bidder TMI Coatings, Inc. Champion Coatings, Inc.
