Mayor Gamee stated that ACCAP had previously indicated that they would not build on that site <br /> anyway. <br /> <br /> City Administrator Norman stated that ACCAP is requesting that the wetlands be moved or the <br /> City pay ACCAP for the land. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak stated that this has happened before in the City and wanted to know what <br />can be done in the future to prevent this from happening again. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that it is more of an internal problem and would recommend <br />possibly reorganizing the Engineering Department. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the City entered into a purchase agreement and more <br />recently moved forward with that purchase agreement, after the work was already completed. He <br />does not think the wetland mitigation was a surprise to ACCAP. He requested that staff examine <br />the claim and the validity of the claim. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired the cost involved. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied $269,000.
