<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-226 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ABATEMENT OF INDEPENDENT AUTO AT 6745 <br />HIGHWAY 10 NW <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 6745 Highway 10 NW has an open code enforcement case for multiple <br />violations at the property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />LOT 1 BLK 2 HY-10 RAMSEY SUBJ TO EASE OF REC, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />MINNESOTA <br /> <br />(the “Subject Property”) (PID: 293225140008) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the violations on the Subject Property include the following: <br /> <br />a. Violations of City Code Chapter 117, Off-Street Parking Violations and Outdoor <br />Storage; and <br /> <br />b. Violations of City Code Chapter 30, Public Nuisances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey owns the Subject Property and leases it to Allen Berg <br />and Independent Auto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property also had similar violations in 2019 that were remedied after <br />approximately three months of working with the property and the property came into compliance; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the violations in 2020 are the same violations as in 2020 so the Property <br />Tenant (Leasee), Allen Berg, has received a $250 citation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey finds that it should hold their own properties to the same, <br />if not a higher, standard than other properties throughout the City of Ramsey, especially related to <br />off-street parking and nuisance violations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has inspected the Subject Property on June 14, 2019, July 12, 2019, <br />August 28, 2019, and September 3, 2020, and October 2, 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent notices in 2019 on June 13, 2019, July 18, 2019, and <br />notices of abatement on September 24, 2019, and November 14, 2019 and in 2020 on September <br />16, 2020 and October 7, 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, numerous vehicles were onsite during both the 2019 and 2020 inspections, <br />indicating that they are not actively being repaired and should not be onsite; and <br /> <br /> <br />
