He stated he would like to say he <br />will be out of there in three years, but is requesting the full five year maximum because he cannot <br />holmstly predict how fast the business will grow. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated he does not see this as being a logical fit with a residential area, and <br />q~estioned why they moved the business from a commercial area to the pole barn. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo indicated it was not started in a commercial area. He stated they operated out of two <br />locations; his basement and a residential home up north where one of his partners lives. <br /> <br />Commissioner Levine asked for more information on how they were reducing deliveries to the <br />site. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo stated they do not have a tot of deliveries. He indicated with Gander Mountain they <br />had a lot of steel, but most of their metal is will call. He stated most of the signs are made <br />.~omewhere else and they put them up, so the signs are brought to the job site and not to the pole <br />barn. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked what the nature of the work being done at the pole barn included. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo indicated it is light manufacturing. <br /> <br />C, hairperson Nixt asked if it would be possible for him to bring the business into compliance with <br />the number of employees allowed for a home occupation. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo stated he has two other partners and one employee. He noted one of the partners is a <br />salesman, and is out selling most of the time. He added the other employee is a service person, <br />and only stops to get the truck in the morning and bring it back at night on most days. He stated <br />ihey have discussed changing things so that employee takes the truck home with him instead of <br />coming to his home each day. <br /> <br />Commissioner Watson asked if any chemicals were used on site. <br /> <br />Mr. Guz×o indicated they do a small amount of painting, but very little. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer asked what the business would do if the Planning Commission said no. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo stated they are hoping that does not happen, but they would have to look for an off- <br />site location if it did happen. He indicated he would personally have to come up with the money <br />because the business does not have it. He stated the business has been good to Ramsey, as they <br />provided the signs for RYAA. He indicated they put those signs up when they are asked, and <br />slore them in their own facility when they are not needed.
