The <br />Mississippi River and <br />Rum River ~([~r scenic <br />b, )ating opportunities, <br />~['t'()tt Brook and <br />,asa;ocean:cd wetlands <br />cFca{'c a t~atural open <br />?acc corh&,r spanning <br />across nort}wrn Ramsey, and many <br />pockets of oak woodland and <br />v~t:d:mds give Ramsey residents <br />opp(~rmnilic:i to recreate in a natural <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has two regional <br /> <br />parks within its boundaries, <br />Nhssissippi West Regional Park and <br />the Rum River Central Regional Park. <br /> <br />The Mississippi West Regional Park <br />is proposed to develop as a regional <br />park in the years.2006-2007 while the <br />Rum River Central Park is currently <br />being developed. <br /> <br /> ()f' Ihese resources are <br />prcsc,:w:d and made accessible <br /> tg[1 existing large community <br /> and neighborhood parks <br /> 1]~r~)tt~fhout the communi~. <br /> <br />Scattered throughout the City are <br />many community and neighborhood <br />parks ranging in size from less than <br />one acre to over 50 acres. These parks <br />were typically deeded to the City as <br />part of the subdivision park <br />dedication requirements. <br /> <br /> Some parks have been developed <br /> with neighborhood tot lots, <br /> basketball courts, tennis courts or <br /> playgrounds while <br /> ~o~ .... ~ I many remain <br /> <br /> :;! ,. ~ open space.
