Councihncmbcr Olson inquired what format the comments would be in. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon replied the City is required to send information to <br />specific agencies for review. The information would be incorporated into an appendix. He <br />explained that in the end the decision is the Council's as to whether they are comfortable with the <br />information or to order an EIS. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson explained there are actually two different EAW's. One is <br />for thc developer and the other needs to be submitted to the MPCA, who will send out the draft <br />EAW for the sewer extension. The action for the second EAW would be to authorize staff to <br />submit the sanitary sewer draft EAW to the MPCA. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution #05- <br />05-152 authorizing the release of the Pulte Development Draft EAW, and to authorize staff to <br />submit thc sanitary sewer Draft EAW to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Cook, Jeffrey, Olson, Pearson, and Strommen. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec. Abstain: Mayor Pro Tem Elvig. <br /> <br />Case #19: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />l) Consider Authorization to Hire Fire Secretary <br /> <br />Councihncmbcr Cook explained as part of the 2005 budget, the City Council created a part-time <br />Fire Secretary position. Staff is recommending Frankie Jo McNallan for the Fire Secretary <br />position at an hourly wage of $15.60 plus benefits. The results of Ms. McNallan's criminal and <br />driver's license background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment physical and drug <br />screen were satisfactory. The recommendation of the Personnel Committee was to recommend <br />Frankic Jo McNallan for the position of part-time Fire Secretary at a starting wage of $15.60 per <br />bout, plus benefits. <br /> <br />2) Consider Authorization to Hire an Accountant I <br /> <br />Councihncmber Cook explained on April 8, 2005 the City's Senior Accountant resigned, <br />subsequently, on April 12, 2005 staff was given authorization to begin the recruitment process <br />for an Accountant I to replace the Senior Accountant. Staff and the Personnel Committee are <br />recommending Angelica Hoeffner for the Accountant I position at an hourly wage of $18.46, <br />plus benefits. The results of Ms. Hoeffner's criminal record and driver's license background <br />checks, reference checks, and pre-employment physical and drug screen were satisfactory. <br /> <br />3) Authorization to Recruit Firefighters <br /> <br />Councihncmber Cook explained that approximately once annually the City conducts a <br />recruitment process to hire additional firefighters. In Ramsey, 40 firefighters are considered a <br />f'ull complement.
