Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Kurak Reimbursement Request <br /> <br />Handled as Case #A <br /> <br />2) Schedule Work Session <br /> <br />A work session was scheduled for August 16th at 6:15 p.m. with the facilitator. <br /> <br />A budget work session was scheduled for August 27t~ at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />3) Crosswalk Request <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that she received an inquiry from Kathy Smith questioning why <br />there was only one crosswalk at Erkium Street and Sunwood Drive. She forwarded the request <br />to the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />4) QCTV Proposal <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that QCTV had chosen the site in Champlin for their new <br />facility. He reviewed the packet that was submitted to each member of QCTV from Champlin <br />explaining that they did an outstanding job presenting what they had to offer. He then reviewed <br />what the City of Ramsey presented to QCTV expressing disappointment with the presentation. <br />He suggested that if the City is going to compete they need to clean up their act. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested putting together an economic development brochure. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that the Champlin site is located by their downtown center and the <br />property was recently appraised at $365,000 and QCTV was able to purchase the property for <br />$65,000. She stated that it is an excellent site and has plenty of room for expansion. <br /> <br />Richard Krueger, Resident of Ramsey, stated that Councilmember Hendriksen indicated that they <br />have to get their act together, but what they need to do is pass a Comprehensive Plan so that <br />these types of opportunities don't keep by-passing the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that there are certain things that the citizens have said that <br />they want in the Comprehensive Plan which include, density transitioning, sewer and water, <br />lower density. He stated that he did not think it was responsible to permit multiple housing in <br />Section 28 except as a buffer between commercial and residential.
