Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to reschedule the <br />election previously scheduled for October 16, 2001 to November 6, 2001, based on the Charter <br />Commission recall of August 9, 2001 recalling the amendments proposed by their action on July <br />24, 2001 <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, and Anderson. Voting <br />No: None. Abstain: Councilmembers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #7: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />The Finance Committee met on August 14, 2001 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Receive and Review Telephone Systems Quotes; Select Telephone System Proposal <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council accept the proposal as <br />submitted by McLeod USA as the lowest, most responsible quote. <br /> <br />Approve Management Training for City of Ramsey Supervisory Personnel <br />The Finance Committee recommended approval of onsite management team training by <br />Salverda & Associates at a fee not to exceed $1,500. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Request to Amend 2001 Schedule of Rates, Fees, and Charges (Specifically Wine <br />License) <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution #01-08- <br />264, amending 2001 Schedules of Rates, Fees and Charges, specifically the fee for the <br />Wine License. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Chicago Opportunity Site Tour <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution #01-08- <br />265 transferring $8,500 from the Council Contingency Fund to the budget of Mayor & <br />Council to fund the Opportunity Site tour to Chicago. <br /> <br />$) <br /> <br />TIF Projections <br /> <br />The Finance Committee gave staff further clarification of their request from June 26, <br />2001. It will be brought back again for further discussion. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Replacement of Police Department Fax Machine <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution #01-266 <br />authorizing the transfer of $900.00 from the equipment replacement fund into the Police <br />miscellaneous office supplies account, for the purchase of a new fax machine, not to <br />exceed $1,000.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />City Council/August 14, 2001 <br /> Page 11 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
