City Administrator Norman presented proposed land-use map changes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if a public hearing was required for those changes. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied yes. <br /> <br />Councih'nember Hendriksen inquired as to how they will make the public aware of the changes. <br />He questioned if the land-use map will be part of the overall Comprehensive Plan or will it be a <br />separate issue. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that all changes will be submitted at one time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if staff will notify adjacent property owners that a last <br />minute change is going to be made. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that most property owners have already been notified. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that some property owners have not been notified so an attempt <br />should be made to notify the adjacent property owners. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that he agreed. <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman stated that he thought there was a policy that if a rezoning was <br />denied they had to wait a year. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that that is true, but they are talking about land-use designations. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen inquired if staff had agreed to send notices to adjacent property <br />owners. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied yes. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />The work session of the City Council adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Nanci Libor <br />Recording Secretary <br />TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Iac. <br /> <br />City Council/November 26, 2001 <br /> Page 11 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
