Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt Resolution <br />#01-11-417A adopting Findings of Fact #0586, as amended, relating to John Enstrom's request <br />for a conditional use permit to grade and export soils. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen <br />Anderson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired as to what the City's normal construction hours are. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen inquired as to why they deviated from normal construction hours <br />with the original conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that people in the neighborhood are entitled to some quiet <br />time. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if the Council felt that there should be any work done on Sundays. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if Mr. Enstrom is simply operating his machinery on the <br />property does that have to be done during operating hours. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that the conditional use permit currently states that nothing is to <br />happen on Sundays. <br /> <br />Mr. Enstrom replied that his concern is that the City permits construction from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. <br />Monday through Saturday, so why should it be any different for him. <br /> <br />Councilmelnber Hendriksen recommended that due to time restraints they recess this meeting <br />and reconvene at the conclusion of the Public Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Galnec inquired if the Council was in favor of Mr. Enstrom working on the property on <br />Sundays. <br /> <br />Coui~cilmember Hendriksen replied that he wants the hours of operation to be something that Mr. <br />Enstrom is willing to abide by. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to recess the <br />special meeting of the City Council until the end of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recessed the special City Council meeting at 6:53 p.m. <br /> <br /> City Council/November 20, 2001 <br /> Page 8 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
