They have outgrown their current facility and would like to relocate
their business to the City of Ramsey. The City has received a site plan from Star Exhibits
contractor, Amcon, for the development of an office/warehouse facility. The subject property is
generally located to the east of County Road #116 and south of Sunwood Drive. In conjunction
with the proposed site plan, the City of Ramsey is going through the platting process to
subdivide approximately 41 acres into four parcels to allow for the development of Star Exhibits
and future commercial/industrial developments. The site plan is proposing to construct a
185,000 square foot office/warehouse facility with a possible 28,800 square foot future addition.
The proposed site plan meets the front yard, rear yard, and side yard setbacks established in the
Industrial district. The industrial district restricts lot coverage to 35 percent, the site plan is
proposing to construct 185,000 square feet of building space on 14 acres, which equates to
approximately a 30 percent lot coverage. The site will derive three access points from the

City Council/October 23, 2001
