Counciln~ember Hendriksen inquired as to what the process would be to protect the City's <br />interest. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that the City could condemn the property and then the issue <br />would be, is their park purpose higher than the need for a frontage road and commercial property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the City or the County paid for the Martin property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman replied that County paid for the Martin property. He recalled that <br />the big reason the Martin property was acquired was to get the bridge crossing over the <br />Mississippi River. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he had a strong recollection that the County only <br />acquired the back portion of the Martin property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that he would continue researching the issue. <br /> <br />3) Environmental Review Process <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that because of the sightings of the Blanding Turtles in the <br />area, all future developments would be impacted.
