CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2001, <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />at the <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec introduced students from Elk River High School and Anoka High School <br />attending the meeting for their Government class. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler stated that it is fire prevention week and that they <br />already have had 100 kids visit the Fire Station and they are going to be meeting with the 2nd <br />Grade class at Ramsey Elementary. An open house is also scheduled at Fire Station I! for <br />October 13, 2001. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that there was going to a public meeting at the Anoka City Hall on October <br />10, 2001, to discuss the future river bridge crossing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what maps were going to be presented at the meeting. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that there will not be maps identifying the location of the <br />bridge crossing until March 2002. <br /> <br />City Council/October 9, 2001 <br /> Page 2 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
