Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the recommendations of the Finance Committee. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, and Anderson. Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman. Case #14: Report from the Personnel Committee The Personnel Committee met on October 9, 2001 to discuss the following cases: 1) Union Contract Negotiations Closed session. 2) Receive Information about Resignation of Assistant City Administrator and Authorize Process to Hire Assistant City Administrator The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution # 01-10- 385 accepting Kim Moore-Syk¢'s resignation from the position of Assistant City Administrator effective October 12, 2001, and to authorize staff to continue the hiring process to fill the vacant Assistant City Administrator position. 3) Consider Ending Probationary Period of Part-Time Building Maintenance Worker The Personnel Committee recommended adopting Resolution #01-10-386 ending probationary period for Building Maintenance Worker Larry Anderson and granting him the status of regular part-time employee effective October 16, 2001. 4) Receive Recommendation for Appointment to Planning Commission The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council approve the recommendation of the interview panel to appoint Ralph Brauer to the Planning Commission for a partial term to expire on December 31,2001. 5) Consider Revisions to Policy for Appointing Members of City Boards and Commissions The Personnel Committee directed the Personnel Chair to work with the Resources Manager on this issue.
