12/1 12 20 City of Ramsey - Class Specification Bulletin <br />Parks Maintenance <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />Established Date: Oct 5, 2017 <br />Revision Date: Dec 10, 2020 <br />Worker <br />Bargaining Unit: AFSCME <br />Class Code: <br />1 008 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$23.68 Hourly <br />PRIMARY OB]ECTIVE OF POSITION: <br />The primary objectives of this position are to provide general maintenance of city -owned <br />parks and trail systems. Responsibilities include all aspects of parks maintenance, <br />construction of new facilities and the operation of equipment while working in a variety of <br />weather conditions. This position will also be involved in snow plowing of public streets, trails <br />and walks. <br />The Parks Maintenance Worker is required to be a member of the on -call team and work a <br />rotating on -call schedule 8 weeks per year. Members of the on -call team must reside <br />within approximately minutes from the Public Works Facility (14100 Jasper Street <br />NW) and to be available to respond during evenings, weekends and holidays. <br />**This is an AFSCME Union Position** <br />** This position is subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing ** <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />The successful applicant must possess the following minimum qualifications: <br />• Must be 18 years of age or older <br />• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent <br />• Must possess a valid Minnesota commercial driver's license (Class A or B) with both air <br />brake and tanker endorsements, along with having a good driving record <br />• Must reside within the allowed distance for responding to on -call situations <br />(approximately 30 minutes) <br />• Must be a member of the on -call team in good standing <br />• Must have experience in the operation and maintenance of construction equipment <br />https://agency. overnmentjobs.c r lcityoframse ldefault.cfm?action=specbulletin&l ssSpeclD=1 063 0&headerfooter=0 1/3 <br />
