We reach out to our neighbors, <br />then state resources and finally Federal support. It is a collaborated effort but what some may not realize <br />is that the primary responsibility in coordinating any emergency or disaster is the local community. <br />Phas -s ofEmerency II ft <br />• Mitigation: public education, improved infrastructure <br />• Preparedness: staff training, Emergency Response Plans, sirens <br />• Response: life safety, protect property and environment <br />• Recovery.
