is extremely beneficial to the community from a public safety perspective and would like to <br />cooperate fully. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec indicated a hotline will be set up at the City for residents to call with questions. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson indicated staff's hope is that the first line of calls will go <br />directly to CenterPoint Energy. However, if there are any concerns with CenterPoint's return <br />rate or their construction techniques residents can contact the City's hotline. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to authorize staff to issue <br />a blanket ROW permit for CenterPoint Energy specific to the service line replacement project for <br />a cost of $I0,000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Jeffrey, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case/t18: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Human Resources Technician <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated on December 13, 2004, Colleen Lasher was hired as the City's <br />Human Resources Technician. Ms. Lasher has successfully completed her six-month <br />probationary period as the Human Resources Technician. Staff and the Personnel Committee <br />recommend that Ms. Lasher be retained as the City's Human Resources Technician. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Kapler stated he has been involved in the hiring the City has done. This <br />employee filled in for the Human Resources Manager during her medical leave, and he has high <br />regard for her abilities and the product she has put out so far. <br /> <br />2) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Accounting Clerk <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated on August 30, 2004, Jackie Lipski was hired as the City's <br />Accounting Clerk. Ms. Lipski has successfully completed her six-month probationary period as <br />the Accounting Clerk. Staff and the Personnel Committee recommend that Ms. Lipski be <br />retained as the City's Accounting Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Pearson,' to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Personnel Committee for Case Nos. 1 and 2 and to adopt Resolution #05- <br />06-176 ending the probationary period for Ms. Lasher and granting status as a full-time regular <br />Human Resources Technician, and to adopt Resolution #05-06-177 ending the probationary <br />period for Ms. Lipski and granting status as a full-time regular Accounting Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
