Peggy Wedan, Anoka County Assessing, stated that it is just residential - it does have a low
value of $5,600. She would like to find out from the Recorder's Office why it cannot be taxed as
one lot.

Mr. I)cemer stated that every year he complains that this lot is going up in value faster than his
homestead lot.

Mr. Wcdan stated she would be calling Mr. Deemer and finding out why he cannot get this
combined.

Milton Schommer, 6945 - 151st Avenue NW (PIN 22-32-25-31-0011) stated his taxes are $1,550
tbr 2005 and he feels its a little high for his property. He stated he has not really done any
improvements and he feels his property should be re-evaluated. The value was at $158,000 for
2004 and 166,000 for 2005.

Ms. Wcdan explained that the Assessor's visit 20 percent of the City every five years and Mr.
Schommer's property will be in the re-evaluation section for next summer. She added that they
left a tag in 2001 but received no response. They have not been in the home for 8 years. She
stated they can make an appointment to have it re-evaluated to which Mr. Schommer agreed.

Councihnember Pearson felt that the City's taxes have pretty much stayed the same - there has
been a small increase but everything else has increased also.

Mayor Gamec stated that a tax increase is one of the things that happened following a reduction
in thc Local Government Aid.

There was no need to schedule a follow-up meeting.

AI)JOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Strommen to adjourn the
meeting.

Motion carried.

Thc annual Board of Review meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

i ,~ Thi,c, ling
". _-/City Clerk

Board of Review - April 25, 2005
