Commission Business

Vice Chairperson Johnson stated one piece they have been concerned about in the Town Center
is pedestrian traffic, and asked what is provided for sidewalks and the flow of pedestrians.

Mr. Voss indicated there are sidewalk corridors on all streets throughout the subdivisions, each 5
feet on one side of each street. He stated on the 7th Addition there were connections to the trail
on Bunker. He indicated while those limitations do not exist here, there are sidewalks through
each subdivision.

City Engineer Jankowski showed a map of the sidewalks, noting there are two small places
where Staff is proposing additional sidewalks.

Vice Chairperson Johnson stated on the 9tf~ Addition, if you are walking to Coburn's and want to
cross at Bunker Lake Boulevard, you would come to the'southwest corner and would have to cut
through the houses.

Mr. Voss stated the U-shape now is being platted as an outlot, so. they could look at providing a
connection in that corner in the future. He indicated on i~e 9th anti 10th Additions, the developer
is selling lots to a variety of builders, so they have struggled to come up with housing types. He
stated they took representative homes, elevations and footprints as examples. He added they also
took all of the builders through The Village of Sunfish Lake to show them the quality that will be
required.

Mr. Voss stated he has not seen the plat for the property to the east, but Town Center Drive
alignment was determined by Staff, and he will commit to meeting those alignments. He
indicated on Outlot C, there has been discussions with the City Administrator on using it as an
exchange property to facilitate the extension of Town Center Drive, so they have not planned
anything for that outlot until fi~rther discussions take place. He commented they have thrown a
lot at the City Staff over the last few weeks, but will commit to clearing up outstanding items
before this gets to the City Council.

Vice Chairperson Johnson asked if Staff is comfortable moving each of these forward.

Associate Planner Geisler indicated they were.

Motion by Commissioner Levine, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd to close the public
hearings for Ramsey Town Center 8th, 9th, and l0th Additions at 9:30 p.m.

Motion Carried.
