Council Update <br />Park Dedication Celebration. The City of Ramsey invites you to celebrate the renaming of <br />Central Park to honor, and recognize, Loral I Armstrong Delaney, 7925 161st Avenue NW, on <br />April 8, 2021, at 5:30 pm. This initiative was affirmed and adopted by City Council Resolution <br />#20-21. Following the dedication, we invite all dogs to participate in a Ramsey Community Dog <br />Parade! Please visit: https://www.ci.ramsey.mn.us/.../Loral-I-Delaney. for details on how to <br />participate in the dog parade and where to meet for the Park Dedication. Preregistration is not <br />required for either. <br />Dog Parade - Bring your four -legged friend to this community celebration. Big dogs, small dogs, <br />fetch lovers, couch nappers, and everything in between! Ramsey's own media personality, Ron <br />Schara, will be the Master of Ceremonies and give all dogs their moment to shine and chance at <br />winning prizes! Dogs must remain leashed and in control for the duration of the event. Please <br />maintain safe social distancing and follow COVID-19 protocols. Attached to the Weekly Update <br />is the Loral I Armstrong Delaney Central Park Dedication and Dog Parade Flyer. <br />MnDOT's proposed 2021 pavement overlay project on Highways 47 and 169 in the City of <br />Anoka between the Mississippi River Bridge and Bunker Lake Boulevard. MnDOT's project <br />webpage can be viewed at the following link - www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy47-169- <br />anoka/index.html?utm content=&utm medium=email&utm name=&utm source=govdelivery& <br />utm term= <br />MnDOT currently anticipates that this work will be completed between mid -July and mid -October. <br />This work will generally be completed under traffic, but detours to 7th Avenue are anticipated <br />during 2 or 3 proposed weekend closures. Updates on project schedule, road closures and detours <br />will be posted once known. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact City Engineer <br />Bruce Westby at bwestby@cityoframsey.com. <br />Anoka County -led CSAH 116/Bunker Lake Boulevard & TH 47/Saint Francis Boulevard <br />Intersection Improvement project that will be constructed in 2021. The purpose of the project <br />is to increase intersection capacity and safety by providing additional travel and turn lanes. <br />Additional left turn lanes will better accommodate turns from TH 47 onto CSAH 116 and will <br />reduce, queuing in thru-lanes due to left turning vehicles. Lengthening turn lanes will reduce queue <br />lengths and increase safety on both roadways by removing vehicles waiting to turn from thru- <br />lanes. Turn lane improvements will include extending the CSAH 116 westbound right turn lane <br />across the CSAH 116 bridge. The project will also widen the CSAH 116 bridge crossing the Rum <br />River oxbow east of TH 47 to accommodate a turn lane on westbound CSAH 116 for vehicles <br />turning north onto TH 47. Attached to the Weekly Update is an Information Sheet on the Bunker <br />Lake Boulevard and Trunk Highway 47Intersection Improvements. <br />Spring Load Restrictions. Spring Load Restrictions in the Metro Frost Zones started Thursday, <br />March 4, 2021, at 12:01 am and will continue until further notice.
