Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-XX-XXX <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL OF RUM RIVER <br />ESTATES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, National Orowth, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for preliminary plat approval of Rum River Estates Addition on the following described <br />property located in the City of Ramsey: <br /> <br />The north 330.00 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23, <br />Township 32, Range 25) together with an easement for road purposes over the west <br />· 33.00 feet of that part'of the Northeast QUarter of said Section 23 which lies north of <br />County State Aid Highway No. 5, according to the United States'Government survey <br />thereof, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />sketch <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 13, 2004, the City of Ramsey received an application ahd <br />plan from National Growth for a plat to be named Rum River Estates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 6, 2005, the pianning Commission reviewed the sketch plan; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 25, 2005, the City Council reviewed the sketch plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 11, 2005, the Developer submitted a preliminary plat for Rum <br />River Estates to the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on APril 7; 2005, the Planning commissior! conducted a public hearing and <br />recommended the City Council deny the preliminary plat; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 14, 2005, the Park and Recreation Commission recommended <br />park dedication and trail fees be satisfied through a cash payment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 10, 2005, the City Council tabled action on the request for <br />preliminary plat approval of Rum River Estates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 14, 2005, the City Council directed City Staff to prepare findings <br />o~' fact to assist them in their decision regarding the request for preliminary plat approval of Rum <br />River Estates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 28, 2005, the City Council the request to rezone <br />the Subject Property to Planned Unit Development to allow development of the'property with <br />townhomes. <br /> <br />-169- <br /> <br /> <br />
