Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DECLARE LOTS AVAILABLE FOR <br /> BURIAL AT THE TROTT BROOK CEMETERY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a citizens committee has been meeting with staff over the past year for the <br />purpose of updating the Trott Brook Cemetery burial inventory; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff and committee members referenced numerous records, which included <br />the Anoka County Genealogical Society, Minnesota and Anoka County Historical Society, Trott <br />Brook Cemetery Records, Funeral Home Records, Trott Brook Genealogy Report, and Trott <br />Brook Cemetery Burial Descendants; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these records show 170 of the 360 possible burial lots as available for <br />burial; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 41 of the 170 open lots are depicted by the City Cemetery Records as being <br />owned by an individual or family within the past 50 years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 33 of the 170 open lots are currently unowned open lots within the <br />cemetery; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 96 of the 170 open lots are depicted by. old records as showing ownership, <br />but have had no activity in the past 50 years. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the .City of Ramsey authorizes staff to publish notice in <br />the Anoka County Union and City Newsletter declaring the 96 open lots with <br />historic ownership, but no activity in the past 50 years as available if no family <br />member has come forward to make a claim within a specified period of time. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the ibllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />-215- <br /> <br /> <br />
