Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DECLARE LOTS AVAILABLE FOR BURIAL AT THE TROTT BROOK CEMETERY WHEREAS, a citizens committee has been meeting with staff over the past year for the purpose of updating the Trott Brook Cemetery burial inventory; and WHEREAS, staff and committee members referenced numerous records, which included the Anoka County Genealogical Society, Minnesota and Anoka County Historical Society, Trott Brook Cemetery Records, Funeral Home Records, Trott Brook Genealogy Report, and Trott Brook Cemetery Burial Descendants; and WHEREAS, these records show 170 of the 360 possible burial lots as available for burial; and WHEREAS, 41 of the 170 open lots are depicted by the City Cemetery Records as being owned by an individual or family within the past 50 years; and WHEREAS, 33 of the 170 open lots are currently unowned open lots within the cemetery; and WHEREAS, 96 of the 170 open lots are depicted by. old records as showing ownership, but have had no activity in the past 50 years. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the .City of Ramsey authorizes staff to publish notice in the Anoka County Union and City Newsletter declaring the 96 open lots with historic ownership, but no activity in the past 50 years as available if no family member has come forward to make a claim within a specified period of time. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the ibllowing voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: -215-
