CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Oamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Kevin Whelan, Executive Vice President of Landmark Bank <br />Connie Nelson, SBA Department Manager of Landmark Bank <br />Terry O'Connell of QCTV <br />Stephen Guzzetta of Bradley & Guzzetta, LLC, Attorney representing <br />QCTV <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:18 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Old Town Hall <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated staff has recently been contacted by representatives <br />fi'om Landmark Bank regarding the Old Town Hall site. Landmark Bank is interested in <br />utilizing the building for additional office space and has provided a proposal to the City for <br />consideration. She reviewed that the issue of the Old Town Hall has come before Council on <br />several occasions as well as before the EDA to consider options for the future use of the site and <br />building. When last presented to Council at a work session on June 8, 2004, Council consensus <br />was to research options to move the building off the site to a park or other public property in <br />Ramsey and complete the needed restoration/improvements for use by the community as meeting <br />space and/or historical center.
