Holidays, when approved, shall be selected on the basis of seniority up until (10) days <br />prior to the requested day off ' Thereaftei holidays when approved, will be granted on <br />a first-coifle first -sewed basis. <br />ARTICLE 8: DISCIPLINE <br />8.1 The Employer will discipline Employees for just cause only, Discipline will be in <br />one or more of the foliowing fonns: <br />a) Oral reprimand; <br />• b) . Written reprimand; <br />c) Suspension; <br />d) Demotion; or <br />e) Discharge <br />8.2 Suspensions, demotions and discharges will be in wdtten fotm, <br />8.3 'Written reprimands, notices of suspension and notices of discharge which are to <br />become part of an Employee's pelsoflnel file shall be read and acknowledge by <br />signature of the Employee. Employees and LELS shall receive a copy .of such <br />reprimands and/or notices, <br />8,4 Employees may examine feu ownindividual personnelflles at reasonable times under <br />the direct superviion of the Employer, <br />8,5 A five (5) day (regularly scheduled consecutive work days) suspension, without pay, <br />will precede any discharge order, except for those employees who are defined as. <br />Veterans puisuant to Minnesota Statutes Annotated 197.46, <br />8,6 An Employee will not be questioned coneerning an investigation of disciplinary action <br />againstthat Employee unless said Employee has been given ari oppoltunity to have an <br />LELS representative present at such questioning. <br />8,7 Grievances relating to •this ,ARTICLE shall be .initiated by LELS in Step 3 of the <br />grievanoe procedwe under ARTICLE 6, <br />ARTICLE 9: WORD SCHEDULES <br />9.1 The normal worlc year for full -tune Employees shall consist of the number of Monday <br />through Friday days in each calendar year multiplied by eight (8) hours. These bolus. <br />are to be accounted fot by each Employee thiough: <br />a) Scheduled hours of work; <br />b) Scheduled departnient meetings; <br />c) Holidays; <br />d) Authorized trairiing; <br />8 <br />
