Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-139 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR TIGER STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-02 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct Tiger Street between Armstrong <br />Boulevard and 173' Avenue in 2021 as identified in the 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #20-259, adopted November 10, 2020, the City <br />Council accepted the quotes of Bolton & Menk, Inc. to provide topographic survey services, and Chosen <br />Valley Testing for the geotechnical evaluation services required to design and prepare plans and <br />specifications for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has received the topographic survey and geotechnical evaluations and has <br />the capacity to prepare plans and specifications for improvement project #21-02, Tiger Street <br />Reconstruction. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-009, adopted January 12, 2021, the <br />City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for bids for the same <br />improvements. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-085, adopted April 13, 2021, the <br />City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br />advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, The City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute the proposal from <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. to provide construction staking services for said improvements in a total <br />not -to -exceed amount of $4,680 for the project; and <br />WHEREAS, Eleven (11) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on May 12, 2021, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisements for <br />bids; and <br />Company Name <br />Bid <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />$ 224,552.19 <br />Omann Brothers Paving Inc. <br />$ 259,541.95 <br />Douglas -Kerr Underground, L.L.0 <br />$ 271,153.48 <br />GMH Asphalt Corporation <br />$ 271,361.05 <br />Meyer Contracting Inc. <br />$ 271,663.49 <br />New Look Contracting, Inc. <br />$ 282,383.00 <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp <br />$ 282,627.79 <br />Bituminous Roadways Inc. <br />$ 312,569.36 <br />Northwest <br />$ 323,919.83 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. <br />$ 330,463.00 <br />
