• The plot survey will utilize 23 randomly located 1 / l Oth acre plots centered systematically
across the contiguous woodlands. The contiguous woodlands cover approximately
—22.49 acres on the site, so this method would sample 1 / l Oth of that area.
• From each plot center all significant trees will be sampled within a 37.2 ft radius which
include:
a. All healthy deciduous species that have a DBH of six inches or greater.
b. All healthy coniferous species that have a DBH of four inches or greater.
• All significant trees sampled would be sampled for species, DBH, location, and health
condition.
Summary
This method will produce; (1) the total basal area, species, location, and health condition for all
trees impacted by primary and secondary construction zones, (2) a per acre relative basal area,
relative species abundances, and relative specie condition for the non -impacted wooded areas.
This survey will create a site -specific tree inventory for the purposes of maintaining compliance
with municipal code and determine whether the project meets criteria for tree replacement.
