Chloe McGuire Brigl
From:
Sent:
To:
Cc:
Subject:
Good afternoon Ron,
Chris Anderson
Wednesday, September 16, 2020 2:17 PM
ron@touchette.net
Eric Maass [External]; Chloe McGuire Brigl; Tim Gladhill; Brian McCann
Conditional Use Permit Application
I have been asked to connect with you about initiating the application process for a Conditional Use Permit for multiple
motor vehicle sales operations at 7127 Highway 10 NW. You can access the Land Use Application here. At this time, the
earliest agenda an application could be considered by the Planning Commission would their November 5, 2020 meeting
(they only meet the first Thursday of each month). Presumably, if the Planning Commission holds the Public Hearing on
November 5, it would tentatively be scheduled for consideration by the City Council on November 24, 2020. The current
fees required are a $200 non-refundable application fee and an $800 escrow payment (total of $1,000). All costs
incurred by the city while processing the request are charged to that escrow. If there is a balance left at the conclusion,
that is refunded back to the applicant. If costs exceed that initial escrow payment, the applicant is invoiced the
difference.
In addition to the application, a summary of the proposed use(s) on site should be included. Also, a scaled site plan
should accompany the application that outlines how many suites are proposed for motor vehicle sales,
outlines/demonstrates that there is sufficient space for motor vehicles displayed for sale, dedicated customer parking
for each dealer (not to be used for display of vehicles for sale), and can maintain a twenty-four (24) foot wide drive aisle
between rows of vehicles. If any motor vehicle repair work is proposed on site, that should also be indicated as
well. Once completed, please feel free to email the application and supporting information to us. You can either mail in,
drop off, or pay over the phone (via credit card) the fees.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Chris Anderson, ISA-CA I canderson@cityoframsey.com
City Planner I City of Ramsey
P: 763-433-9817 I F: 763-433-9848
7550 Sunwood Drive NW I Ramsey, MN 55303
www.cityoframsey.com
Our Mission: To work together to responsibly grow our community, and to provide quality, cost-
effective, and efficient government services.
#ResilientRamsey
COVID-19 Response
Action Plan
Building Permit Updates
http://cityoframsey.com/753/Building-
Permit-COVID-19-Polices
Business Resource Updates
https://www.cityoframsey.com/752/COVID-
19-Business-Resources
1
