Please incorporate these <br />additional comments with those that were originally mailed to the City in our letter dated May 16, <br />2005, Mn/DOT Review # S 05-039, Marigold Pond (enclosed). Please address the following <br />points before any further development: <br /> <br />Tra ~c: <br /> <br />In order to maintain ~afety On TH 47, Left Turn Lanes for both north bound and south <br />bound in addition to a right turn lane for north bound will be required as part Of the <br />required access permit (see Mn/DOT letter dated May 16, 2005, Review # S 05-039). <br />Mn/DOT recommends that the City consider reserving sufficient right of Way on the <br />160!h Lane approach (an extra twenty-four [24] feet on the east side) in the event that turn <br />lanes need to be added in the future. The appr0a, ch grade on 160th Lane should be 0.5 <br />percent away ti'om TH 47 for a distance of fifl'y (50) feet for this entering roadway. The <br />City will need to be the applicant on the access permit. Please note that all improvements <br />made to Trunk Highway 47, required due to the proposed development, are the <br />responsibility of the City, 'or whomever the city assigns responsibility for paying for and <br />implementing the improvements. Traffic Support Eng/neer, at (651) 634-2145. <br /> <br />Drainage: <br /> <br />A drainage permit is required. Drainage rates and levels must be perpetuated. One (1) <br />tbot of freeboard is required on all ponds along Mn/DOT right of way. Please submit <br />drainage and grading plans and computations for proposed and existing site in no larger <br />than seventeen (1'7) by thirty-four (34) inch sheets.
