Councihncmbcr Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-06-190 <br /> <br />A RESOI~UTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION ON THE PROPOSED <br />PIJAT OF MARIGOLD POND FROM RURAL DEVELOPING TO LOW DENSITY <br />RES ll)ENTIAL, AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION <br />TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 3, 2005, the City of Ramsey received an application from <br />()akwood l.and Development (the "Property Owner") requesting an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan to change the future land use designation from Rural Developing to Low <br />l)cnsity Residential for the following legally described property: <br /> <br />That part of thc Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township <br />32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying northeasterly of the centerline of <br />trunk t lighway No. 47, except the following: Beginning at the southwest comer of <br />Ix~t 1, Block 4, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition; thence south 89 degrees <br />57 minutes 34 seconds east along the south line of said plat 299.25 feet; thence <br />south 00 degrees 19 minutes 00 seconds west 178.16 feet; thence south 81 degrees <br />19 minutes 00 seconds west 504.98 feet; thence north 00 degrees 19 minutes 00 <br />seconds east to the north line of said Quarter Quarter; thence east along said north <br />linc to the point of beginning and there terminating. <br /> <br />That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying northeasterly of the <br />center line of State Trunk Highway No. 47, excepting therefrom that part of the <br />Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, <br />Minncsota, described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the north line <br />of said Section 14 with the centerline of State Trunk Highway No. 47 as the same is <br />now laid out and traveled, said point being 762.3 feet east from the North Quarter <br />corner of said Section 14; thence south 3 degrees 05 minutes east along the <br />ccntcrlinc of said highway a distance of 540.55 feet; thence south 1 degree 52 <br />minutes east continuing along said centerline a distance of 602.85 feet; thence <br />continuing along said centerline on a tangential curve to the left having a radius of <br />1038.81 feet for a distance of 93.85 feet to the actual point of beginning of the tract <br />ol~ land to be hereby described; thence south 85 degrees 12 minutes 47 seconds east <br />a distance of 273.55 feet; thence south 20 degrees 12 minutes 47 seconds east a <br />distance of 280.00 feet; thence south 71 degrees 24 minutes 43 seconds west a <br />distance of 264.05 feet to/ts intersection with the centerline of said highway; thence <br />northwesterly along said centerline a distance of 390.77 feet, more or less, to the <br />actual point of beginning.
