Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they may be able to get a grant for this also but they <br /> nccd to provide safe crossing for pedestrians. <br /> <br />Corem issioner Ostrum asked if the crossing could be in conjunction with the north edge because <br />that way they would not be taking away from the developer. <br /> <br /> Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought that may work better. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns thought that was a great idea. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock did not know if a tot lot or any additional recreation would be needed in <br />that area. She thought an overpass may be more feasible to look at considering the shopping <br />across TH 47 that will be there. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked what if they should consider an underpass. <br /> <br />l'arks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought with the TH 47 closing for repairs, they could <br />~;onsidcr installing a culvert under the road. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum asked which side the trail would be on. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated it would start out on the west side first. <br /> <br />Case #2: Review Ramsey Town Center Park <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner Shryock to table this item for review <br />until the next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Olds, Shryock, LaMere, <br />l,ehman, Ostrum, and Pontius. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />COMM ISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br /> · Comments from Environmental Expo <br /> <br />Corem issioner Ostrum indicated they had quite a few resident complaints. <br /> <br />(',ommissioner Shryock stated they had requests for park maps. And a resident wanted a <br />baskctball court at Titterud Park. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought they could use the lawful gambling fund for <br />fimding this. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton indicated a resident complained that her address was wrong on the City <br />maps. <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/May 12, 2005 <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
