l?om this location overland into the wetland 657 W. The estimated cost of this project is
$20,OOO.

Assistant Public Works Director Olson advised the third project is proposed to be fixed through
Tax Increment Financing. This project is related to the need to reroute a storm sewer constructed
by Waste Management, which is currently oWned by Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. It is
located across Lot 1, Block 2 Sunfish Lake Business Park. This storm sewer is currently used on
<~ccasion by MPCA to augment the groundwater treatment system that relies primarily on ponds.
The existing storm sewer runs diagonally across the property, which limits the development
potential. It is proposed that this storm sewer be realigned. The cost of this work, including the
removal of the existing sewer is estimated to be approximately $50,000. He advised the
recommendation is that the City Council direct that plans and specifications be ordered for the
projects outlined above as the 2005 Storm Sewer Improvement Project.

Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to ratify the
recommendation of the Public Works Committee in Case No. 2 and to direct that plans and
specifications be ordered for the projects outlined above as the 2005 Storm Sewer Improvement
Project.

Motion carried. The
cost involved would consist of replacement of three sign blades at an estimated cost of $360.
Neither the Police nor the Fire Chief object to the proposed change in signage as. 10ng as proper
notification is made to 911.

4) Consider the Acquisition of Property for Park and Trail Purposes

Counci lmember Elvig indicated this case was ratified at the June 28, 2005 City Council meeting.

Mayor Gamec inquired about the status of the 'Underpass.

City Administrator Norman replied he will work on getting the City's permit moved up in the
process.

5) Update on TH 47 Trail Installation

Assistant Public Works Director Olson noted the update on the TH 47 Trail Installation is
included in the packet for the Council's information.

City Council / July 12, 2005

P63
