(~ouncihncmber introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #05-08-xx RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS AND BIDDING FOR THE NEW PARK SHELTER AT CENTRAL PARK WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has been working with the City regarding the rcplaccmcnt of the Park Shelter at Central Park and has donated $185,000.00 towards the cost of thc pro. jcct; and WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson & Associates has donated the civil engineering work required lbr the project and Ramsey Lions member A1 Hurner and Adkins Association Inc. arch itccts have donated the schematic design work for the project; and WItEREAS, staff and Ramsey Lions representatives have been working with Adkins Associations Inc. on the plans, specifications, and bid package for the project as approved by ('.ouncil at their regular meeting on June 28th, 2005; and WlIEREAS, Council has approved the use of Charitable Gambling Funds to fund the additional costs associated with the project above the $185,000.00 donation by the Ramsey l,ions; and WHEREAS, the new Park Shelter wilt provide a new and improved picnic, concession and community event venue for the residents of this community. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes plans and specifications and bidding for the new Park Shelter at Central Park. '1 he motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and thc tbllowing voted against the same: and thc lbllowing abstained: and thc lbllowing were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this thc 9th clay of August 2005.
