to perform the same, provided the contractor is subject to the control of the <br />licensee and the licensee is at all times responsible for the work performed. <br /> <br />h. The moving and wrecking of buildings; <br /> <br />Plastering, outside stucco work or lathing; <br /> <br />j. <br /> <br />Gas installation, including heating, appliances, devices or machinery, etc.; <br /> <br />k. Siding; <br /> <br />Sign and billboard erecting; <br /> <br />m. Swimming pool installers; <br /> <br />n. Septic tank and cesspool pumping; <br /> <br />o. Lawn irrigation installers; <br /> <br />p. Pole barn, barn construction including erection, alteration or repair of buildings. <br /> <br /> Subd. 7. Permit to Owners. The owner of any property may perform work on <br />property which they occupy, so long as the work when performed is in accordance with the Code <br />ot' thc City, and for such purpose, a permit may be granted to such owner without a license <br />obtained. <br /> <br /> Subd. 8. State Licensed Contractors Excepted. Those persons who possess valid <br />licenses issued by the State of Minnesota shall not be required to obtain a license from the City' <br />they shall, however, be required to file proof of the existence of a valid license together with <br />proot' of satisfactory Workers' Compensation insurance coverage, provided said work is covered <br />under tile scope of the state license. <br /> <br /> Subd. 9. Public Service Corporations Excepted. Public service corporations <br />shall not be required to obtain licenses for work upon, or in connection with, their own property <br />except as may be provided by other sections. <br /> <br /> Subd. 10. Manufacturers Excepted. Manufacturers shall not be required to obtain <br />licenses for work incorporated within equipment as a part of manufacturing except as may be <br />provided by other sections of this Code. <br /> <br /> Subd. 11. Assumption of Liability. This Section shall not be construed to affect the <br />responsibility of any party owning, operating, controlling or installing the above described work <br />£or damages to persons or property caused by any defect therein nor shall the City be held as <br />assuming any such liability by reason of the licensing of persons, firms or corporations engaged <br />in such work. <br /> <br /> <br />
