PC CASE <br /> <br />RATIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT OF PAID ON-CALL FIRE FIGHTERS <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Duc to understaffing, in the spring of 2005 staff began a recruitment process to hire six additional <br />paid on-call fire fighters. Fire Fighter information sessions were held in May 2005 and <br />interviews were conducted in June 2005. Candidates were interviewed by a panel consisting of <br />thc Fire Chief, both Assistant Fire Chiefs and the Human Resources Manager. Candidates took <br />the physical agility test the last week in June and all six candidates have passed their pre- <br />employment physicals and drug screens. <br /> <br />At this ti me staff is recommending that membership with the Ramsey Fire Department be <br />granted to the following candidates on the start date indicated: <br /> <br />Douglas Olejnicak <br />John Atchison <br />Robert Moser <br />Kirk Hughes <br />Kelly Miller <br />Christopher Hanson <br /> <br />July 20, 2005 <br />July 20, 2005 <br />July 20, 2005 <br />July 20, 2005 <br />July 20, 2005 <br />August 10, 2005 <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Stall' is recommending Doug Olejnicak, John Atchison, Robert Moser, Kirk Hughes <br />l< e lly Miller, and Christopher Hanson for appointment to the Ramsey Fire Department. <br /> <br />Corn ~n i ttee Action: <br />Motion to recommend that City Council authorize the appointments of Doug Olejnicak, John <br />Atchison, Robert Moser, Kirk Hughes, Kelly Miller, and Christopher Hanson to paid, on-call fire <br />lighters positions on the effective dates indicated above. <br /> <br /> <br />
