COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Application for an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License, <br />Sunday Sales & 2:00 A.M. Permit Tanners Tavern & Grill; Case of JJS LLC <br />(Joel Schauer) <br /> <br />Mayor (lamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:21 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:21 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained Joel Schauer, known as JJS LLC (Joel Schauer) d/b/a Tanners <br />Tavern & Grill, has properly applied for an on-sale intoxicating liquor license, including Sunday <br />sales and 2:00 a.m. closing permit at 14077 St. Francis Boulevard NW, Ramsey. This is a new <br />business of this type as the former business at that site was Scrapmania (a scrap booking store). <br />Police Chief Way has completed the background investigation and found everything to be in <br />order. <br /> <br />Jocl Schauer, applicant, stated he also owns Tanners Steak House in Andover and Tanners <br />Wooclfire and Grill in Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve an on- <br />sale intoxicating liquor license application (which includes Sunday sales and 2:00 a.m. permit) <br />for JJS I.LC (Jcl Schauer) d/b/a Tanners Tavern & Grill, contingent upon the required insurance <br />information received. <br /> <br />City Council / July 26, 2005 <br /> Page 6 of 35 <br /> <br /> <br />
