Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-251 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PUBLIC WORKS PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />WHEREAS, there is a Public Works Parks Maintenance Worker vacancy; and <br />WHEREAS, an internal and external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Daniel Lowrie has been selected as the top candidate for the <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff have completed the necessary background checks and are <br />recommending that Mr. Daniel Lowrie be hired as a full-time Public Works Parks <br />Maintenance Worker, effective on or near September 8, 2021 at $23.679 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Daniel Lowrie will be subject to a 6-month probationary <br />period; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Daniel Lowrie will be subject to the terms of the applicable <br />labor agreement and the City's Personnel Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #21-251 to hire Mr. Daniel Lowrie as a full-time <br />Public Works Parks Maintenance Worker, effective on or near September 8, <br />2021, at $23.679 per hour, which is step 1 of the 2021 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
