Hydrant Flushing began October 4. Ramsey's Utilities Department will be doing its semi-annual flushing of water mains beginning Monday, October 4 through Friday, October 29. Please be aware that this flushing, while necessary, will create a disturbance in the system and may cause your water to be discolored. Although the water may be discolored by iron, it is fit for human consumption. However, it may stain clothes that are being washed; to alleviate this problem, you may want to fill your washer with water and check on its clarity before adding your clothes. We appreciate your patience and regret any inconvenience this may cause. For more information about water main flushing, call Utilities Supervisor John Nelson at 763-433-9861. Open Enrollment for City of Ramsey Employees. The City is having its open enrollment meetings the afternoon of Thursday, October 14, for face-to-face meetings; details to follow. If you are unable to attend one of the meetings, stay tuned for an alternative date. Recreation Updates:  Ramsey Residents Day on the Farm o Celebrate the fall season with an afternoon of festivities at the Pearson Family Farm - right here in Ramsey this Saturday, October 9, from 12:00-6:00pm. o Bring your friends and family out for some pumpkin decorating, a jump in the popcorn pit, face painting, antique tractors display, corn maze, hay rides, and more!  Swing Dance Workshop o This single time East Coast Swing Dance Workshop will cover basic patterns, fun underarm turns, footwork and partnership connection. Partners encouraged but not required. o The class will be held at Brookside Elementary School on Saturday, October 16, from 11:00am-1:00pm. The class will be instructed by Carol Brecht-Wiles who has over 20 years of experience teaching.
