CITY OF RAMSEY <br />Established Date: Oct 23, 2017 <br />Revision Date: Sep 9, 2021 <br />Streets <br />Maintenance <br />Worker <br />Bargaining Unit: AFSCME <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$23.68 Hourly <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: <br />Class Code: <br />16017-2 <br />Provide general maintenance of public streets, right-of-ways, storm sewer systems, parking <br />lots and any other related municipal facilities or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public <br />streets, trails and walks. <br />All Streets Maintenance Workers are required to be a member of the on -call team and work a <br />rotating on -call schedule 8 weeks per year. Members of the on -call team must reside <br />within approximately minutes from the Public Works Facility (14199 Jaspar Street <br />NW) and be available to respond during evenings, weekends and holidays. <br />**This is an AFSCME Union Position** <br />**This position is subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing** <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />The successful applicant must possess the following minimum qualifications: <br />• Must be 18 years of age or older <br />• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) <br />• Must possess a valid Minnesota Commercial driver's license (Class A or B) with both <br />air brake and tanker endorsements, along with a good driving record <br />• Must reside within the allowed distance for responding to on -call situations (within 30 <br />minutes) <br />• Must be a member of the on -call team <br />• Must have experience in the operation and maintenance of construction equipment <br />• Must pass a criminal history check and driver's license check <br />• Must pass a pre -employment physical exam and drug screen <br />DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />
