The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions:  Rink Attendants – Temporary 10-week positions starting 12/17/2021. Rate of pay is $10.33 per hour. Maintain the warming houses during the skating season through Must be 16 years old by 12/09/2021. These positions responsible, safety-minded work. are open until 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  Mechanic – Full-time position, rate of pay is $27.68 – $32.15/hour – DOQ. Performing skilled mechanical services including, but not limited to, automobiles, squad cars, heavy and light equipment and other city-owned vehicles and equipment. Candidates must possess a Minnesota commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) with both air brake & tanker endorsements. This is an AFSCME union position, and will be subject to DOT This position is open until 11:59 pm on Wednesday, random drug & alcohol testing. October 20, 2021.  Recreation Specialist – Part-time, twenty (20) hours per week position, rate of pay is $22.585 – $24.843/hour – DOQ. This position, under the general guidance and direction of the Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent, will facilitate the development and ongoing administration of diverse annual recreational programs serving all ages and demographics. There is some flexibility within the Monday – Friday / 8:00 am to 4:30 pm schedule. Longer hours are required on Thursdays during the Summer Concert Series (mid- June to the end of August). Paid leave benefits (sick, vacation & holidays) are pro-rated This position based on hours worked per pay-period. This is an AFSCME union position. is open until 11:59 pm on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Council Update Recreation Updates:  Ramsey Residents’ Day on the Farm Hundreds of Ramsey residents came out to the Day on the Farm at the Pearson o Family Farm this past Saturday. Residents enjoyed hay rides, the corn maze, food trucks, games and of course pumpkin traditions. Almost 200 children took part in the pumpkin painting, led by instructors from Rum River Arts Center. A great time was had by all!
