• Swing Dance Workshop o This single -time East Coast Swing Dance Workshop will cover basic patterns, fun underarm turns, footwork and partnership connection. The class will be instructed by Carol Brecht -Wiles who has over 20 years of experience teaching. See you there! • Drive-in Movie o Enjoy a showing of The Wizard of Of from the comfort of your vehicle next Thursday, October 21, at 6:30 pm, at The Draw park ballfield in Ramsey. Concessions will be available for purchase. o This is a free event, but registration is required as space is limited. Attached to the Weekly Update are the Park and Recreation Event Flyers. Hydrant Flushing began October 4. Ramsey's Utilities Department will be doing its semi-annual flushing of water mains beginning Monday, October 4 through Friday, October 29. Please be aware that this flushing, while necessary, will create a disturbance in the system and may cause your water to be discolored. Although the water may be discolored by iron, it is fit for human consumption. However, it may stain clothes that are being washed; to alleviate this problem, you may want to fill your washer with water and check on its clarity before adding your clothes. We appreciate your patience and regret any inconvenience this may cause. For more information about water main flushing, call Utilities Supervisor John Nelson at 763-433-9861. School District Elections. Absentee voting began Friday, September 17, for school district elections in ISD 11, 14 and 16, as well as for municipal elections in Circle Pines and Lino Lakes. The in -person absentee voting location for all Anoka County voters with an election this fall is the Anoka County Government Center. Circle Pines and Lino Lakes voters can also choose to go to their City Hall.
