Trott Brook Crossing EAW August 2021 Trip generation was estimated using the methodology outlined in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Trip Generation Manual, 10`h Edition (2017). The proposed project is expected to generate about 2,593 vehicle trips per day. Within the PM peak hour, the project is expected to generate 264 trips, consisting of 166 entering vehicles and 98 exiting vehicles (Table 13). The Traffic Study included in Appendix G provides a full description and analysis of the peak hour traffic and traffic recommendations. Table 12. The nearest transit facility is a transit stop and North Star Commuter Train Station, 4 miles south of site. Anoka County Transit provides Transit Link dial -a -ride transit service in conjunction with Metropolitan Council. This is a public transportation service that operates using accessible buses where regular fixed -route transit is unavailable. Metro Mobility service is also available in Anoka County. This is a shared public transportation service for certified riders who are unable to used regular fixed -route bus due to a disability or health condition. Trails and sidewalks provide another alternative approach for local travel. The project will include sidewalks along some residential streets and trails that link to the Trott Brook Recreational Trail which runs along the southern border of the property. b. Discuss the effect on traffic congestion on affected roads and describe any traffic improvements necessary. The analysis must discuss the project's impact on the regional transportation system. If the peak hour traffic generated exceeds 250 vehicles or the total daily trips exceeds 2,500, a traffic impact study must be prepared as part of the EAW. Use the format and procedures described in the Minnesota Department of Transportation 's Access Management Manual, Chapter 5 (available at: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/accessmanagement/resources.html) or a similar local guidance. SSTS documented existing conditions of the nearby roadways with a field inventory during the week of July 25, 2021. The study focused on the following intersections: 1.
