Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing to Consider Execution of Business Subsidy Agreement with <br />LH Road, LLC <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:18 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Itearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Development Consultant Mulrooney stated recently a development agreement with LH Road, <br />LLC, dba Wildlife Research Center has been negotiated with City staff. The project includes the <br />construction of a 40,000 square foot office/warehouse building in the Fall of 2005. The building <br />will be located east of Azurite Street NW within Sunfish Lake Business Park Third Addition. It <br />is anticipated that the project will create at least four new jobs paying a wage of at least $14.00 <br />per hour in a two-year period. The County Assessor has established an assessed taxable market <br />value of approximately $2,000,000 for the project. It is anticipated that the project will generate <br />$65,000 annually in taxes and approximately $39,250 annually in tax capacity. The tax <br />increment generated will be approximately $22,000 per year toward the TIF District, which <br />would bc used to assist the City with its payment for public improvements associated with <br />Sunfish Lake Business Park.
