draft presented at the public hearing on May 5 that it was appropriate to bring the proposed <br />ordinance back to the Planning Commission prior to its introduction to City Council. <br /> <br />Public Input <br /> <br />Chairpers(m Nixt opened the public hearing at 8:42 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Levine, seconded by Commissioner Johnson to close the public <br />hearing at 8:42 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Johnson, Brauer, <br />Shepherd, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Watson. <br /> <br />Commnission Input <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy to recommend that <br />Cily Council adopt the proposed wetland buffer ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Johnson, Van Scoy, Brauer, Levine, and <br />Shepherd. Voting No: Chairperson Nixt. Absent: Commissioner Watson. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt commented that he still thinks this is unworkable. He stated he is conservation <br />oriented, but thinks this is too much regulation on residential lots, and may be hard to administer <br />and regulate. Ite indicated he thinks it is a lofty goal. He added that Staff did a great job on this <br />ordinance, but he thinks it will be difficult to administer. <br /> <br />Case//9 Staff Update <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy noted that the miscellaneous section was interesting. He stated when <br />they got to the cluster ordinance and the impact on the proposal tonight he thought this would be <br />something they talked about up front. He indicated it sounds like a six-month moratorium on <br />development until the study is done. <br /> <br />Associalc Planner Geisler indicated it is not a moratorium. She stated Staff are talking to <br />applicants about it, and the impacts to them.
