Motion by Councihnember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #05- <br />05-260 supporting the City's application for funds to the Federal CMAQ grant program. <br /> <br />I:urther discussion: Councilmember Strommen requested staff to look into bike lockers to be <br />located at the parking ramp. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey, Olson, <br />l'earson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />}:urther discussion: Mayor Gamec directed staff to obtain information including costs and taxing <br />lbr the Metro Transit buses. Councilmember Elvig suggested staff also obtain information from <br />ibc County regarding interim bus service from city to city. Mayor Gamec requested staff to also <br />obtain infm'mation from the Anoka Traveler for service between areas such as the Anoka <br />Industrial Park, the Ramsey Industrial Park, and Ramsey Town Center. <br /> <br />Case#16: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1 ) Ratification of Appointment of Paid On-Call Fire Fighters <br /> <br />Assislant City Administrator Nelson indicated there was a recruitment process held earlier this <br />year to hire six additional paid on-call fire fighters. As a result of this reorganization, Parks Lead, Mr. John Nelson, was appointed to the <br />Utilities Lead position. At this time staff is requesting authorization to fill the Parks Lead <br />position loft vacant by Mr. Nelson. <br /> <br />3) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Building Inspector <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson indicated Steve Burnham was hired as a Building Inspector <br />on January 12, 2005.
