PROPOSED ORDINANCE #05- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 9.11.14 "OUTDOOR SOLID FUEL FIRED <br />ItEATING DEVICES" AND AMENDING SECTION 9.20.11 (R-1 RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT) TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Section 9.11.14 "Outdoor Solid Fuel Fired Heating Devices" is 'added to Chapter 9 to read as <br />fi~llows: // <br /> <br />9.11.14 <br /> <br />Outdoor Solid Fuel Fired Heating Devices <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Definitions. The following words and terms, as used in this <br />Section, shall be construed as herein defined. <br /> <br /> Outdoor Solid Fuel Fired-Heating Device - A deVice designed for solid fuel <br />combustion so that usable heat is derived for the interior of a building, and includes solid fuel- <br />fired stoves, fireplaces, solid fuel-fired cooking stoves, and combination fuel furnaces or boilers <br />which burn solid fuel. Solid fuel-fired heating devices do not include natural gas-fired fireplace' <br />logs. <br /> <br /> Stacks or Chimneys - Any vertical structure incorporated into a building and <br />enclosing a flue or flues that carry off smoke or exhaust from a solid fuel-fired heating device; or <br />thc part o ~' such a structure extending above the roof. <br /> <br /> Public Nuisance - (a) Maintaining or permitting a condition which unreasonably <br />annoys, injures or endangers the safety, health, morals, comfort or repose of members of the <br />public; or (b) interfering with, obstructing or rendering dangerous for passage, any street, public <br />right-of-way, or waters used by the public; or (c) any other act or omission declared by law to be <br />a public nuisance. <br /> <br />55 <br /> <br /> <br />
