BUDGET 2002 <br /> <br />Officers brought their prioritized list of capital needs to the meeting. Chief Kapler will <br />review for the 2002 budget. <br /> <br />There is a federal grant available for fire departments. Cities the size of Ramsey may submit <br />two $750,000 grant applications. The grants may be used for such items as stations, <br />equipment, wellness programs and fire prevention. To receive a grant the City must match <br />the grant 10%. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· The floor finish is scheduled to be applied to the apparatus bay floors on March 12th; the <br /> finish requires a 5-day drying time. No one should walk on the floor during this time. <br /> <br />Thc electrical and mechanical work is still in process. <br /> <br />· Furniture is on order. It will take approximately four weeks for it all to arrive. <br /> <br />Spring work to be done includes outside chalking, painting of the outside doors and <br />landscaping. <br /> <br />Personal vehicles should not be washed at station #2 at this time. The Department would like <br />to determine the time it takes to fill the drainage tanks with regular Department use first. <br /> <br />STATION CLEANUP <br /> <br />· Thc Captains should contact their station group leader each month as a reminder. <br /> <br />RESCUE TRUCK <br /> <br />· Thc rescue truck is at Custom to have repairs completed. <br /> <br />· Thc service body has to be scheduled at J Craft for painting. <br /> <br />· The radio/light package needs to be purchased as well as decals. <br /> <br />CSO POSITION <br /> <br />· The CSO officer will work 9-1, Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />· He will attend fire calls as a firefighter during his scheduled hours, rescue call <br /> responsibilities will be determined by his supervisor. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/MARCH 6, 2001 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
