NEW FIREFIGHTERS <br /> <br />· Fire Fighter I class will be completed December 7th. <br /> <br />· January there will be a new firefighter information class. <br /> <br />FIREFIGHTER SMITH UPDATE <br /> <br />· Firefighter Smith will return to work four hours a day beginning tomorrow, November 4th. <br /> <br />,, tlc has a 10 pound weight restriction, however no driving restrictions. <br /> <br />· Let Chief Kapler know of any duties that may be done by Firefighter Smith. <br /> <br />I}001,I. HANGERS <br /> <br />° Door hangers will be in Engine #1 Captain's door and in Engine #2 glove compartment. <br /> <br />I~ADDER TRUCK PROCESS <br /> <br />· Chassis should be here anytime. <br /> <br />COUNTY FIRE ISSUES <br /> <br />· Thc County will be applying for a Department of Justice Grant. The County will use the <br /> funds to handle incidents of mass destruction. The equipment will be held by the county and <br /> brought to the scene in the city where it is needed. <br /> <br />· North Suburban Mutual Aid will apply for a Federal DNR grant for the Fire Wise Program to <br /> make homes safer. The City will use this grant to clear the Trap Rock Commons area where <br /> thc pine trees are dying. <br /> <br />OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />· Officers will bring the Officer Responsibility SOG to the business meeting for discussion. <br /> <br />· The Department should make a list of services it provides; the mission statement does not <br /> make up for this list legally. <br /> <br />OFFER POSITIONS IN 2003 <br /> <br />· Positions up for renewal are Chief#3, Captain #11, Lieutenant #1 and Training Officer. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/NOVEMBER 3, 2002 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
